Education/degrees: Ph.D., Psychology, obtained from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1986.

Specialties: Treatment of clients/patients experiencing Depression, Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as well as sexual disorders and paraphilia. Approximately 3000 clients seen in individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy. 

Bio: Dr. O’Donohue has resided in Nevada for past 15 years, but was raised in the Midwest. He is married and the father of two.

Education/degrees: Ph.D., Psychology, obtained from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2009

Statement of therapeutic approach: Evidenced-based assessment and protocols including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Interventions, Exposure-Based Interventions etc.

Additional training/achievements: Internship at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico (including participation in the following rotations: inpatient psychiatric ward, neuropsychological assessment clinic, outpatient psychological assessment and treatment, substance abuse treatment clinic, sexual health clinic, and intensive outpatient clinic)

Specialties: Child and Adult Assessment, Neuropsychological Assessment, Treatment of clients/patients experiencing Depression, Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder etc. Approximately 40 full assessment batteries completed; approximately 200 additional assessments completed (including administration of symptom measures and a semi-structured interview); 250 clients seen in individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy.

Education/degrees: Doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Additional training/achievements: Experience treating serious mental illness in a residential setting and employment at the VA Health Care System in Palo Alto, California (including participation in outpatient psychological assessment and treatment referral).

Directions to Our Clinic

 

1). Please park in the Brian Whalen Parking Complex located on South Virginia
2). Upon exiting the Brian Whalen Parking Complex, please look across the street and you will see a large staircase.
3). Cross the street and climb the stairs. At the top of the stairs you will see that the sidewalk splits.
4). Walk towards your right and follow the side walk around the building.
5). Keep an eye out for playground equipment. You will see a blue slide, monkey bars etc. Once you spot the playground equipment you have located our building as our building is attached to the playground equipment. We are located in Edmund Cain Hall, Building 081. There is a 081 on the outside of the building.
6). Our office is located in room 206 and there is a sign that reads "Psychological Service Center." The door to the center is always locked so you can either knock or have a seat and wait for your therapist to open the door.
